REVIEW! Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2013 Show
After watching the Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2013 show which took place yesterday on YouTube, I was left extremely impressed and incredibly jealous of all those who were lucky enough to attend! The start of the show gave me goosebumps just from watching on a laptop screen, so I can only imagine how those actually inside the venue felt. At the start of the show, the atmosphere in the venue seemed absolutely amazing as eerie music played into the dark room. A dark material was then removed from the glass roof exposing the room to daylight, then the show got underway.

The female models donned minimalistic make-up, looking like they had next to nothing on their eyes, but with very defined cheek bones. The make-up was very natural but was then amplified by red lips. The soft, flowing hair made sure that no attention was taken away from the gorgeous collection.

Here is what I loved...
- The show assured that metallics are going to be a big hit for all garments; pencil skirts, jackets, t-shirts, shoes, shorts, you name it. The pointed metallic wedges which came in a variety of colours complimented any ensemble they were paired with, and the pop of colour brought the neutral toned garments to life.
- I thought the tailored leather jackets were stunning, if I could afford the price tag of the cropped off-white leather jacket I would definitely buy it in a heartbeat!
- Overall, my favourite garment was an ivory figure hugging satin pencil dress, which would look excellent on a curvy woman as the waist is really brought in and has a tiny peplum-esque detail to draw attention to it.
- The finale of the show was wonderful. Each model wore a metallic trench coat paired with the metallic wedges whilst receiving a well-deserved round of applause.
What I didn't love so much...
- I really didn't rate the 3/4 sleeved HUGE jacket, I think maybe if it was fitted the combination of the material, colour and large pockets would make it perfect. Unless you are Gaga, if so then just leave it as it is.
- I also wasn't a fan of the large leather jacket worn by Cara Delevingne, as with the 3/4 sleeved jacket, if it was fitted it would look gorgeous, especially on the naturally beautiful Miss Delevingne!
- For a runway show, I enjoyed seeing metallic on metallic as it somehow worked and made the whole event more aesthetically interesting, but to make the metallic pieces more ready to wear, each ensemble should maybe only have one metallic garment. For example, there was a really lovely metallic pencil skirt which would look amazing paired with a plain jersey t-shirt and a chunky necklace.
