Garnier Fructis Surf Hair
ASDA - £1.50 150ml
After using Bumble and bumble.’s Surf Spray, I wished to
find more products which would have a beachy effect on my hair. Reviews of the
B&b. Surf Spray are rather negative online and I often see reviewers
directing people to this product –
Garnier Fructis Surf Hair. I came across this product in ASDA for £1.50 for a
150ml tub, which is a complete improvement on the £8.50 price tag of a 50ml
bottle of B&b. Surf Spray.
The product has the typical fruity aroma which is associated
with the Garnier Fructis range, which I love. The texture is a “Matte Gum” and
all you have to do is scoop a little bit out of the tub and warm it up into
your hands and then work it into your hair; bending, twirling and scrunching it
until you reach your desirable style of beachy waves.
In comparison to the Surf Spray, it is apparent that this
product is much better to use on your hair in terms of not drying it out.
MUA Lipstick
Superdrug – Shade 15 Juicy - £1!
I know MUA has had a LOT of negative press lately due to
their public representation on websites such as Facebook, but for me, it doesn’t
take away from the fact that their products are amazing for the price you pay
and I will never boycott using/buying them.
These lipsticks retail at £1 (no typo!) and are amazing.
Like some others brands, they do not dry my lips out and I find them very
conditioning. At the moment I own six and I’ll definitely be buying more.
From the collection, I adore this peachy/pink shade the most
as I find if you pat it onto the lips and then work the colour across it looks
so pretty.
Moringa Body Mist
The Body Shop - 100ml - £7.50
When I walked into The Body Shop I was literally like a cat
smelling chicken. I could smell this really sweet florally aroma and wondered
where the hell it was coming from and then my nose led me to the Moringa
collection.
The classy glass packaging made me think this product was a
room spray at first but as soon as I realised it was a body mist, straight in
the basket it went. I find this scent really grown up from the days of Charlie
sprays which used to dominate mine and my friend’s schoolbags. Love it!
Botanical Essence No.15
Liz Earle – 50ml - £47
Ever since I received my Cleanse and Polish and got a sample
size of this perfume within the parcel, I knew at some point I was going to
purchase it. I’m super fussy with perfumes and knowing a scent is perfect for
me doesn’t happen very often so I didn’t mind allowing myself to spent a little
bit more on this beauty. I find it really hard to describe scents so all I’m going to say is if you’re next to a Liz Earle counter and haven’t had a whiff of this already, make sure you go and do it!
Vitamin C Energising Face Spritz
The Body Shop – 100ml – £9I have wanted to purchase a facial spritz for a while and when I asked the assistant in TBS what she would recommended for an instant pick me up she showed me this product. This product smells rather zesty which makes it very refreshing. I can imagine this spritz being a real saviour on holidays/ in summer to instantly revive and cool your skin after being in the heat all day. Sometimes I apply this product in the morning as I find it helps wake me up. J
Purity 3-in-1 Cleanser
Philosophy – 90ml - £9 (from Christmas collection, purchase
for £4.50 in the sale)I was introduced to this product through the Latest in Beauty advent calendar, and I am SO happy I was. I think the main thing I love about this product is how simple it is. No fancy scents/packaging/gimmicks; it just purely does its job and does it well.
After using this product my face feels so clean and
refreshed and it manages to take every last scrap of make-up off with ease,
including all eye-makeup without irritating my eyes at all.
Thank you for reading!
