SPA H2O Sea Salt Skin Smoother – From M&S range – 340g
(part of a set) – £20 for 680g
I’ve really enjoyed using this exfoliator as I find most of
the time exfoliators seem to have a low salt consistency which leaves skin
feeling oily rather than exfoliated (not sure if I’ve worded this right, but it
is something than annoys me when I use exfoliators such as Soap & Glory’s
Breakfast Scrub), and this product seems to be mainly salt with just a little
bit of oil so it’s easy to massage into the skin. I wouldn’t recommend this
product for those who have sensitive skin at all as the salt can feel really
harsh, and I also would recommend just using hands for application rather than
an exfoliating glove as the product itself does all the work and doing so could
leave skin feeling quite sore and cause a rash when using moisturiser
afterwards.
St Tropez Gradual Tan – Light to Medium – 75ml (sample size)
– £14.39 for 200ml from Boots
Normally I don’t usually opt for light to medium when I’m
choosing fake tan shades but I received this in a goody bag at The Clothes Show
Live so of course I was going to give it a go. Take away the fake tan aspect,
and this is a really good moisturiser which leaves your skin feeling amazing so
the fact it gives you a skin harming-free tan afterwards is just a bonus. I
probably won’t repurchase this fake tan as there are many more available on the
high street for cheaper which are just as good.
MAC Studio Fix Fluid – 30ml – £20.50
I’ve genuinely been looking forward to finishing this
product as the more I use it the more I dislike it. As MAC products are
expensive, I feel I should’ve done more research into other foundations but I
decided to join in in the MAC hype and just buy this. I find this product just
looks streaky on my skin and takes a ridiculous amount of blending, but that
might be because it has such a cakey coverage, and I prefer more sheer
foundations which is why I tend to opt for BB creams nowadays. I wouldn’t
repurchase this foundation as there are better alternatives for cheaper (i.e.
the next product!)
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation – 30ml – £8.99 from Boots
I bought this after seeing Zoella rave about it in one of
her YouTube videos as her skin always looks flawless. With this product, a
little bit definitely goes a long way and I prefer to use it for more heavy
looks for nights out rather than every day. For the price, this is a fantastic
product and has been likened to many high-end foundations and there are plenty
of shades available.
Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It – 125ml – £7.50 from
Boots
I’m a big fan of facial scrubs and I love how soft they make
my skin feel afterwards so I really enjoyed using this product. It can be used
as both a facial scrub and a mask and claims to “refine pores” and “prevent
blemishes”. I didn’t really notice it do any of these things, however, I think
this product is worth the price purely for how clean and refreshed the skin
feels after use.
Avon Skin So Soft Hair Removal Cream for Body – 100ml – (Can’t
remember/find price, maybe about £2 on offer?)
As this was on offer in a recent Avon brochure I decided to
order it as I find shaving legs can become a bit tedious and thought using a
cream could be a nice alternative. This product lasted me about 3 uses as to do
the legs you need to use a lot (even with thin blonde leg hair) but it did do
its job well. I also noticed that this product doesn’t take gradual fake tan
off like shaving does which is great. I probably wouldn’t repurchase this
product at its full price as it doesn’t last very long but maybe when it’s on
offer again I’ll buy a few. You also get a handy little plastic tool which
helps take the leg hair off.
Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector – BB Cream – 50ml - £9.99
from Boots
This is the first BB cream I ever tried and I think it is
what started my preference for them rather than foundations. I like how this BB
cream gives you a glow but doesn’t look greasy and I often just put some powder
around my T-zone after applying it. The only downfall with Garnier BB creams is
that they don’t have many shades to choose from and even the light shade (which
I have) is rather dark and I couldn’t get away with wearing this during winter.
I may repurchase this in the future but since it came out many more BB creams
and “CC” creams have been put on the market which I’d like to try.
VO5 – Miracle Concentrate Elixir with Argan Oil – 50ml -
£5.19
I purchased this oil over a year ago to stop my hair looking
so dry when it was lighter, before the hair oil hype started. I really don’t
think this product did anything for my hair apart from make it smell nice so I’m
not going to be repurchasing it, I only really saw it as a cheap alternative to
Moroccan Oil.
Thanks for reading!
