REVIEW! The Body Shop's BB Cream
I think "the one" has finally been found.
During the day, I find foundations too heavy and "cakey" for my skin, as although I complain about my complexion a lot, I do have pretty good skin which tends to behave most of the time. I prefer using BB creams for a light to medium coverage as I find they are less clogging of my pores so the vicious cycle of 'pore-clogging -> spots -> apply more foundation -> pore-clogging -> spots' never really occurs and they are hydrating enough for me not to have to apply a moisturiser beforehand.
I must have tried about six BB creams so far in the past year from various brands and I haven't been majorly impressed, then I spotted this little wonder in The Body Shop. I picked up shade 01 in their Colour-Adapting Tinted Cream for £12 last week and I am amazed every single time I use it.
The cream comes out white, which at first I found a bit strange but thankfully when it is worked into the skin the colour changes. This is the little pigment-ridden particles hidden inside the cream bursting to produce a blemish balm which really does cover up blemishes and cancels out redness.
I think the only negative about this product is the colour range. At the moment, there is only three shades available so those on either side of the pale-dark skin tone spectrum may find it difficult to find one which really suits them.
I will definitely be repurchasing this product as soon as I run out and I even think I'll be buying my mum one for mother's day as she is also impressed by it.
Bravo, The Body Shop!
