Poland Haul
Last week I went to Poland with two of my friends, primarily
going for the Auschwitz tour (yes, no “Maga” or “Napa” for us) but once I found
out their local shopping centre contained a Sephora and Inglot store, the
excitement for our trip definitely built!
The first thing I purchased from Sephora was this
highlighter. The pigment is stunning (I took a photograph with the flash on and
off so you can see how the flash picks up the shimmer, you can tell it
photographs well and would look awesome on photos from nights out!) and it only
cost me £8ish, can’t remember the exact amount of Polish zloty.
Also from Sephora, I picked up this “Ultra vinyl lip pencil”
which was on sale for 21 zloty, which is around £4. The pigmentation on this is
also amazing but the colour kinda reminds me of Christmas. I’ve also just realised
you have to sharpen it as I thought you could just twist the bottom, oops. Excuse
the wonky mouth and dodgy smile.
I also picked up these 4 brushes. I thought the “angled blush”
brush would be perfect to apply highlighter with to really define them areas. I
also bought the “powder” brush as I like how slim the side of it is, so I could
possibly use that for contouring. My favourite brush of the lot is the “smudge”
brush as I haven’t seen one quite like it in English stores and I thought it
would be perfect to easily recreate really grungy eyeliner looks such as the
one Ashley Benson often wears. I also picked up a “rounded crease” brush which
is very much like my MAC 217, but I’m going to use this one for blending darker
colours and my MAC for lighter ones as I find no matter how much I wash my MAC
one it often becomes stained. All the brushes worked out at around £8-£10ish
each.
We then ventured across to Inglot. I see missglamorazzi talk
about this brand a lot so I was very excited to see the stock in the flesh! I
firstly bought a trio eyeshadow palette and I was almost overwhelmed by the
amount of eyeshadows they had in store I kind of panic chose the shades, but as
you can see the pigmentation is incredible and I thought the cranberry like
shade was very pretty, whether I’ll get
a lot of use out of it or not is another question. The complete palette came to
around £8-£12, can’t remember exactly, but it was a bargain!
I then picked up a blusher, and decided I’d get their
magnetic case for this one. I’m so happy I chose this shade as it’s very much
like my everyday go-to Avon “Earthen Rose” blusher which I’ve hit the pan on,
and I haven’t seen in their catalogue lately. A little bit of this blush
definitely goes a long way, so it’s going to last me ages! This cost around £8.
I then picked up this “Nail Enamel” which worked out at
around £6. A few layers needs to be applied in order to make the iridescent shade
really show but I think this colour is perfect for summer and reminds me of “The
Little Mermaid” for some reason…
Last but DEFINITELY not least… BIODERMA!!!!! I’ve only used
this a few times and it’s already love. This cost 70 zloty, which works out at
about £14 a bottle, but it’s SO worth it. Ever since I’ve seen the hype across
the bloggersphere and YouTube, I’ve desperately wanted to try it and when my
friend saw it in the chemist section of a shop I could almost hear angels
singing and see speckles of glitter and mist emerging from the shelves. It gets
makeup off with such ease and skin just feels so clean afterwards, everybody
needs this in their life!
Thanks for reading!
