Summer Wishlist

Here's some things I've been lusting over for Summer '13!



Gandys Flip-Flops

Many were left orphaned after the Tsunami, including the Gandys brothers, and they’ve decided to release a range of flip-flops in order to raise money for fellow orphans to make sure they get a better quality of life.

The flip-flops cost £19.99, which seems a lot for a flimsy bit of footwear, but as it says on the website, they are a “Purchase with Purpose” and come in a wide variety of shades. I personally love the blue, yellow & pink ones. The money the brothers raise is being used to open a children’s home in their parent’s memory.

Tortoise Shell Ray-Ban Wayfarer
I’d love to own a pair of these tortoise shell Ray-Bans as I think they look incredible with almost any outfit and I love the classic Wayfarer style. I’ve wanted a pair for a few years now but can’t bring myself to fork out on the £120ish price tag.


Playsuits
Topshop have some really nice playsuits in at the moment which are perfect for summer. I prefer them to dresses at the moment as, unlike some styles of dresses, you don’t need to worry about spontaneous gusts of wind forcing you to lose your dignity. The playsuits pictured cost £34-£46.

Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC Bag
I really want one of these Mini MAC bags for my holiday as I think they are the perfect size for evenings. I especially love the metallic leather and white versions of the bag. They cost £129 from http://www.shopbop.com/.


Small Moschino Scarf
I’d love to own a small Moschino scarf to be tie around my head to create a quick up-do this summer. TKMaxx often have a variety of styles in up to £30.


Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Intense Rescue Melting Balm 100ml
I’ve seen FleurDeForce mention this product a few times and she seems to swear by it, so naturally, I would like to try this product myself (because who wouldn’t want hair like hers?) it costs £16.99 from Boots and claims to condition and “rescue” damaged hair (and mine really needs rescuing)  
 
Lastly,
Miranda Kerr’s figure
 
 
...because surely a summer wishlist wouldn’t be complete without the desire to have a figure like Miranda Kerr?

Starting with the morning, as I tend to not wear foundation in the daytime, but need other products such as my concealer to blend onto my skin nicely, I make sure I always use a moisturiser with an SPF of at least 30, regardless of the time of year. This is important when using the Alpha H Liquid Gold, as the active ingredients make skin much more sensitive to any rays and more likely to contract sunburn. The moisturiser I opt for is Elizabeth Arden's Flawless Future Moisture Cream which I find very lightweight and soothing on the skin. Throughout the day if my lips feel dry I apply the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant to them, as learnt from Gabbie Lindley from VelvetGh0st, which makes lips feel moisturised and have a nice sheen to them. REVIEW! Mane N Tail The Original Shampoo and Conditioner

  As I tend to rave to everyone and their dog about this line of haircare I thought I would compile my thoughts in a blog post (after two years of no posting – oops!).  I first heard about Mane N Tail from Cosmetics Charlotte on YouTube (Now called CharlottesChance). I immediately ordered the “original” shampoo and conditioner from Amazon to see the results for myself.   From the first wash I was hooked; my hair has never felt so soft and manageable; my unruly curly hair became much easier to style, whether I left it to dry naturally or used a hairdryer. I try to make sure that I don’t use them more than once a week as I am worried that my hair will get used to them and I often take breaks between repurchasing them as I know once I use it in my hair again, I will feel the effects more intensely.
