Just a Few Make-up & Skincare Hints/Tips...
Being a fan of beauty blogs and channels for years and experimenting with different products has made me become quite knowledgeable when it comes to talking to others about skincare and make-up. Here are some tips and suggestions that I have learnt along the way, some of which could save you some cash...
- Having a pale, shimmery shade on the skin around the eye duct area makes your eyes look bigger, especially on photos! I make sure I do this on night's out.
- It is important to invest in good brushes, my choice of brand for good quality and durable brushes is Real Techniques. It's one thing having good quality make-up but you need to make sure you have the decent tools to apply it with.
- Try to use face wipes only to correct mistakes during make-up application (or for when you've got yourself into a bit of a state after a night out and feel you need to take your make-up off quickly) . Rather than using face wipes which can strip the face of moisture, use a gentle cleanser and/or toner with cotton pads to remove make-up. Buying gentle products means you can usually use them to remove eye make-up also, meaning you don't have to fork out for an extra product.
- Moisturise your face and neck every day!!! Apparently, your neck is the area which shows the first signs of ageing, so lathering on moisturiser will keep the skin there soft and supple, preventing wrinkles and sag.
- Buy a foundation/BB cream with a decent SPF. UV Rays are always present regardless of the weather and it is important to always keep your skin protected. If you often go throughout the day without using a foundation invest in a day cream which has one.
- Before purchasing fancy new products with certain ingredients which promise to work miracles on your skin, check out your local pharmacy. Products such as Witch Hazel (Distilled Water) for a toner and Sudocreme for a once-in-a-while heavy duty moisturiser can dramatically change your skin's appearance and are inexpensive.
Thanks for reading! I shall try to post more regularly!
