Being a fan of beauty blogs and channels for years and experimenting with different products has made me become quite knowledgeable when it comes to talking to others about skincare and make-up. Here are some tips and suggestions that I have learnt along the way, some of which could save you some cash... Here's some things I've been lusting over for Summer '13! Gandys Flip-Flops http://www.gandysflipflops.com/orphans-for-orphans Many were left orphaned after the Tsunami, including the Gandys brothers, and they’ve decided to release a range of flip-flops in order to raise money for fellow orphans to make sure they get a better quality of life. The flip-flops cost £19.99, which seems a lot for a flimsy bit of footwear, but as it says on the website, they are a “Purchase with Purpose” and come in a wide variety of shades. I personally love the blue, yellow & pink ones. The money the brothers raise is being used to open a children’s home in their parent’s memory. Tortoise Shell Ray-Ban Wayfarer I’d love to own a pair of these tortoise shell Ray-Bans as I think they look incredible with almost any outfit and I love the classic Wayfarer style. Last week I went to Poland with two of my friends, primarily going for the Auschwitz tour (yes, no “Maga” or “Napa” for us) but once I found out their local shopping centre contained a Sephora and Inglot store, the excitement for our trip definitely built! The first thing I purchased from Sephora was this highlighter. The pigment is stunning (I took a photograph with the flash on and off so you can see how the flash picks up the shimmer, you can tell it photographs well and would look awesome on photos from nights out!) and it only cost me £8ish, can’t remember the exact amount of Polish zloty. Also from Sephora, I picked up this “Ultra vinyl lip pencil” which was on sale for 21 zloty, which is around £4. The pigmentation on this is also amazing but the colour kinda reminds me of Christmas. SPA H2O Sea Salt Skin Smoother – From M&S range – 340g (part of a set) – £20 for 680g I’ve really enjoyed using this exfoliator as I find most of the time exfoliators seem to have a low salt consistency which leaves skin feeling oily rather than exfoliated (not sure if I’ve worded this right, but it is something than annoys me when I use exfoliators such as Soap & Glory’s Breakfast Scrub), and this product seems to be mainly salt with just a little bit of oil so it’s easy to massage into the skin. I wouldn’t recommend this product for those who have sensitive skin at all as the salt can feel really harsh, and I also would recommend just using hands for application rather than an exfoliating glove as the product itself does all the work and doing so could leave skin feeling quite sore and cause a rash when using moisturiser afterwards. This may look like an average dishevelled hairstyle, but to me, it's pretty much a breakthrough when it comes to my everyday hair routine, and all thanks to Percy & Reed. I can't even begin to list all the products which I have tried in the past that have claimed to smooth, de-frizz, control, straighten... etc my locks. Non of them worked, and I was left thinking my hair just needs extra time in the morning to be straightened as products alone aren't going to miraculously tame the mane. A couple of months ago I picked up Glamour which just so happened to have the Percy & Reed Finishing Polish for hair attached (an 100ml sample, which is very generous!) Now, I'm a firm believer that if a company reckons their product is awesome and that it's going to sell, they'll be willing to give free samples to everyday consumers such as me, and not just renowned bloggers to use as promotion platforms, as they know you will love their product and will be back ...

So... apparently it's now Spring. You wouldn't think it by the arctic conditions facing us in the UK right now, but still, there's no harm in lusting over the colours, prints and fashion that Spring stock has to offer.    Jeffrey Campbell Cut Out Shoes As soon as I saw these shoes I fell a little bit in love. The lace up patent leather lining with gold hardware makes them look very old fashioned, but then the cut out heel brings a very modern edge. I can’t find them on any British websites, but they cost $175 in the US so I don’t even want to think about what the amount would total to including shipping.
