Beside Skincare

After receiving the Latest in Beauty advent calendar, I had an abundance of sample-sized skincare products all over my bedroom and I realised I really needed to get some order. I sorted all the products out and purchased a cute, butterfly covered box (From Boux Avenue, reduced to £3 from £6) to put all the skincare products that I could use morning and night in to have handy next to my bed. The Moisturisers Within the LIB calendar, I received 3 moisturisers. Firstly was an interesting little product which comes in a nicely decorated tin called STEAMCREAM . This product is SO handy to have before bedtime as you can use it on your face, hands and body; so this is definitely my go-to product if I happen to have any dry skin anywhere! The product itself smells kind of like Sudocreme (which I personally don’t mind) and a little goes a long way, and I think this is the actual full size of the product so it is going to last me a while. Nylon Hair Ties!

A couple of months ago I read @ isobelmeg 's Under £10 Winter Gift Guide blog post containing silk hair ties and became instantly interested in the idea. I have wanted to purchase some for a while now as I have to spend a majority of my time with my hair tied up for work and find ordinary "bobbles" drag my hair and are just uncomfortable to wear. I never got around to purchasing the products though the website linked from Meg's blog post but I luckily came across nylon versions in Claire's Accessories. They were in the sale section and I purchased two packs for £2.50 each (usually £3, which is still a bargain) each pack contains 4 hair ties and after my first full day of  wearing the bright pink one I knew I had to write about them. I don't think I am ever going to return to wearing ordinary hair ties, as non of them even compare to these hair ties.
