Chevron Chic

Image
Chevron was once a print which I could only associate with homeware and stationery such as my beloved bright orange/white Tesco bedsheets, but seeing it filter into the high street has made me realise how it is an eye-catching and interesting way to add colour and texture to a garment.  Sleek Layered Necklace http://www.forever21.com/UK/Product/Product.aspxbr=F21&Category=acc_jewellery&ProductID=1000070585 This simple necklace can be used to dress up almost any outfit and would look amazing worn with a shirt as the angles would align with the shirt's collar.  DKNY Quilted Mini Skirt http://www.theoutnet.com/en-GB/product/DKNY/Quilted-stretch-silk-mini-skirt/456830 This cute skirt has a subtle chevron texture as the fabric of the body and could easily be dressed up or dressed down.  The Laden Showroom X Paisie Shirt Dress http://www.asos.com/The-Laden-Showroom/The-Laden-Showroom-X-Paisie-Shirt-Dress-in-Chevron-Print/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx

Winter Wishlist!

Image
A few things I have my eye on for the upcoming season... Camel Midi Coat http://www.riverisland.com/women/coats--jackets/coats/Camel-double-breasted-midi-coat-660160 You definitely can't go wrong with one of these coats which are seen in almost every high street store at the moment! They are a classic and can be worn with almost any colour underneath and keeps your entire body snug. Burgundy Lipstick http://narscosmetics.co.uk/en_GB/makeup-lips-lipstick/999NACSTNLS01.html?dwvar_999NACSTNLS01_color=7845010609#start=3 I'm becoming rather obsessed with burgundy at the moment and dark lipsticks are definitely a winner for winter! Stella McCartney Chain Bag http://www.stellamccartney.com/gb/stella-mccartney/tote_cod45221399lv.html#detailsContent I seem to be the owner of only boxy bags at the moment and as much as I love them, on the congested street 8:30am walk to university I am fed up of getting in the way of people. To me, this is almost the perfect slouchy bag.

Just a Few Make-up & Skincare Hints/Tips...

Being a fan of beauty blogs and channels for years and experimenting with different products has made me become quite knowledgeable when it comes to talking to others about skincare and make-up. Here are some tips and suggestions that I have learnt along the way, some of which could save you some cash... Having a pale, shimmery shade on the skin around the eye duct area makes your eyes look bigger, especially on photos! I make sure I do this on night's out.  It is important to invest in good brushes, my choice of brand for good quality and durable brushes is Real Techniques. It's one thing having good quality make-up but you need to make sure you have the decent tools to apply it with.  Try to use face wipes only to correct mistakes during make-up application (or for when you've got yourself into a bit of a state after a night out and feel you need to take your make-up off quickly) . Rather than using face wipes which can strip the face of moisture, use a gentle cl
