Liz Earle Botanical Essence Eau De Parfum no.15 After receiving a sample of this perfume with my purchase of the Cleanse and Polish I knew I had to purchase the full size 50ml version, as I had never come across such an endearing smell. I would definitely say this is an autumn/winter fragrant and as I am awful at describing perfumes and their “notes”, I would recommend anyone to pop to a Liz Earle concession and give this a smell. I have heard this perfume be likened to Viktor and Rolf’s Spicebomb, but after smelling both I definitely think the L.E. perfume is nicer! Overall 10/10 Would I buy again? YES! & Other Stories Body Lotion in Moroccan Tea The first time I had ever been to an & Other Stories store was this year in February and everything about the brand blew me away! I am in love with their accessories, clothing and beauty range! I originally came across a soap bar of this Moroccan Tea scent in the store and as I was about to purchase it I noticed the b...

And the world’s most inconsistent “blogger” award goes to… So lately I have not blogged as much as I’d hoped, and I have no excuses apart from pure laziness and lack of inspiration to do so. But… this month is the month I seem to have been buying quite a lot of things I have wanted for agesss. I’m not sure why this is, I think I just got a little bit too click happy with the “add to basket” button and bought a few things from Boots/John Lewis which I have wanted to try. Starting with Boots… Soap & Glory’s “One Heck of a Blot” £12 I’m a big fan of using translucent face powders to set makeup in my t-zone and run underneath my eyes to try and prevent smudges ever since using the Rimmel “Stay Matte” powder which I came to an end of. I decided to try another brand and I’ve heard good things about this one. Also, I’m a sucker for S&G’s snazzy packaging.    L’Oreal “Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution” £3.33 This is pretty much a che...

SPA H2O Sea Salt Skin Smoother – From M&S range – 340g (part of a set) – £20 for 680g I’ve really enjoyed using this exfoliator as I find most of the time exfoliators seem to have a low salt consistency which leaves skin feeling oily rather than exfoliated (not sure if I’ve worded this right, but it is something than annoys me when I use exfoliators such as Soap & Glory’s Breakfast Scrub), and this product seems to be mainly salt with just a little bit of oil so it’s easy to massage into the skin. I wouldn’t recommend this product for those who have sensitive skin at all as the salt can feel really harsh, and I also would recommend just using hands for application rather than an exfoliating glove as the product itself does all the work and doing so could leave skin feeling quite sore and cause a rash when using moisturiser afterwards. St Tropez Gradual Tan – Light to Medium – 75ml (sample size) – £14.39 for 200ml from Boots Normally I don’t usually opt for light ...

Garnier Fructis Surf Hair ASDA - £1.50 150ml After using Bumble and bumble.’s Surf Spray, I wished to find more products which would have a beachy effect on my hair. Reviews of the B&b. Surf Spray are rather negative online and I often see reviewers directing people to this product   – Garnier Fructis Surf Hair. I came across this product in ASDA for £1.50 for a 150ml tub, which is a complete improvement on the £8.50 price tag of a 50ml bottle of B&b. Surf Spray. The product has the typical fruity aroma which is associated with the Garnier Fructis range, which I love. The texture is a “Matte Gum” and all you have to do is scoop a little bit out of the tub and warm it up into your hands and then work it into your hair; bending, twirling and scrunching it until you reach your desirable style of beachy waves. In comparison to the Surf Spray, it is apparent that this product is much better to use on your hair in terms of not drying it out.   MUA Lipstick ...

REVIEW! The Body Shop's BB Cream

Image
I think "the one" has finally been found. During the day, I find foundations too heavy and "cakey" for my skin, as although I complain about my complexion a lot, I do have pretty good skin which tends to behave most of the time. I prefer using BB creams for a light to medium coverage as I find they are less clogging of my pores so the vicious cycle of 'pore-clogging -> spots -> apply more foundation -> pore-clogging -> spots' never really occurs and they are hydrating enough for me not to have to apply a moisturiser beforehand. I must have tried about six BB creams so far in the past year from various brands and I haven't been majorly impressed, then I spotted this little wonder in The Body Shop. I picked up shade 01 in their Colour-Adapting Tinted Cream for £12 last week and I am amazed every single time I use it. The cream comes out white, which at first I found a bit strange but thankfully when it is worked into the skin the...

Ojon Damage Reverse Shampoo & Conditioner In November, John Lewis (and basically every store which stocks Ojon) held an event in which you could trade in a bottle of any brand shampoo or conditioner and you’d receive this duo for free, I think it was to promote the recycling of plastic… can’t really remember! Baring in mind this would set you back around £41 at its RRP, I was thrilled! I’d previously seen a few beauty bloggers rave about Ojon products which made me want to try some myself, so I made sure I got to the store rather early to pick up my freebies. For the first few uses, my hair genuinely felt different. It became much more slick and easy to manage and as I previously used a lot of heat, it seemed to work wonders on the ends of my hair. But, after using them as my every-other-day shampoo and conditioning products, I started to notice my hair feeling dryer and I felt like my hair was becoming immune to the restoring properties promised by the produ...
